Angry Glasgow pub bosses hit out after third break-in since start of lockdown

Angry bosses at a Glasgow pub have hit out after being broken into for the third time since the start of the coronavirus lockdown.

The owners of the Tabac bar on Mitchell Lane have said they 'simply do not get why we have been targeted over and over again' as they pick up the pieces from the latest attack.

Pictures posted on Facebook show a kicked-in fire door in the unsuccessful attempt to break in which is believed to have happened over the weekend.

The post reads: "Can you believe it..... break in number three!

"This time they haven’t managed to get in but simply do not get why we have been targeted over and over again!"

Earlier this month, a window in the city centre boozer was smashed despite signs warning there was no cash inside.

A post on Facebook at the time read: "Talk about kicking a business while they are down.

"We have put signs to let people know that all cash and stock have been removed from the premises yet they still break in(and leave with nothing).

"We on the other hand get left with a broken window and huge bill to pay while generating 0 money."

In the first break-in vandals broke doors forcing the pub to board them up.
