Families have slammed a small number of customers who subjected staff at a much-loved pumpkin patch to verbal abuse.
Owners of Pumpkin Alley, based in Ormskirk, revealed staff were also spat on and threatened after taking the decision to close the site yesterday due to safety reasons.
The ECHO reported earlier details from a Facebook post shared by the owners in which they said they were left saddened by how staff were treated.
The patch was closed yesterday after people were "ignoring" its car park rules and parking dangerously, "endangering themselves and their children".
ECHO readers were left shocked and slammed the actions of those who threatened staff as "ridiculous."

In comments on Facebook, Sarah Broad said: "This is everything that is wrong with the world. People spitting and being abusive because their darling children can't pick a pumpkin. A pumpkin! These children have no chance with parents like this...The world is ridiculous."
AE Jarvis said: "Ignoring parking rules, why? when out with family, day out, kids all over the place , why would people just ignore parking advice, Why would they feel it is OK to spit at staff and abuse them.
"So sorry for the poor families that were looking forward to a bit of a 'normal' day out."
Karen Rooney added: "Absolutely disgusting"
Meanwhile Jean Disley said: "Absolute dragged up scum spitting an abusing staff just cos they were trying to keep people safe some people should just never be out in public bet they did it in front of the kids as well"
A worker from Pumpkin Alley also commented on Facebook to say that although it was a hard day for staff this treatment was only from a small minority and there were "loads of absolutely love customers" too.
