A group of Edinburgh men in balaclavas have been filmed squaring up to a local who says they have turned the road into a "drag strip"
The man, who does not want to be named, caught the reckless bikers on cameras doing wheelies on Marine Drive on Monday night at around 9pm.
He told Edinburgh Live there was around a dozen of the balaclava-clad yobs on the stretch of road, near Silverknowes Beach, and he decided to film to highlight the issue.
In the clip, one of the yobs can be seen doing wheelies on the road just as a car comes around the corner before speeding off, while some have learner plates on their bikes.
One tries to start filming the local before another approaches him and begins sounding his horn before making a gesture and speeding off.
The local said the groups were terrifying residents and tourists and that a recent road closure on West Shore Road, just minutes from where the clip was taken, has seen it turned into a "drag strip".
He said: "It was on the road outside the caravan site. It seems to be an ongoing issue since they've closed off the road at the end, the boy racers are using it as a bit of a drag strip.

"The generic age group of people on the site are between 60-80 and they were obviously intimated by young lads riding round on mopeds wearing full balaclavas.
"There's also a lot of people and dog walkers along Marine Drive and it's only going to get worse as there's more daylight."
The local has alerted the police to the incident.
