Anger at footage of Rangers fans singing racist songs on supporters bus

A video of Rangers fans singing racist chants and making racist gestures has gone viral.

The footage, which is understood to have been taken onboard a supports bus to the Ross County clash in Dingwall today, has been viewed over 130,000 times on Twitter.

In the video fans can be heard singing "Furuhashi ate my dog, ate my dog" as they repeat the chant over and over.

Kyogo Furuhashi is a Japanese footballer who plays for Celtic.

The footage was posted on snapchat and has since been shared by outraged football fans from both sides online.

In one of the last clips captioned "lets all do the Kyogo", one Rangers fan can be seen pulling his eyes to the side.

Another man then joins in and the person filming can be heard chanting "lets all do Kyogo nananana".

The majority of the men in the footage are wearing Rangers football tops.

Fans appear to be intoxicated as alcohol can be seen in a number of the clips as supporters dance on the bus while chanting.

The video on Twitter has now been shared over 1,000 times and people urged Police Scotland to take action on the incident.

One said: "Everyone should @policeScotland till they pick up on this. Shocking this is allowed in Scotland. Not good enough. Disgusting."

Another added: "Vile people. @RangersFC need to call this out and as soon as possible.

"There's certain people within our media who turn a massive blind eye to their support base and especially the away support. Can guarantee this will be 1 of many buses like this today. #kickitout #racism."

One person also wrote: "Rangers fan through and through but this is completely out of order and all of them should be in a lot of trouble!"

A spokesperson for Rangers FC said they are currently investigating the footage.

They said: "Rangers condemns all forms of racism and discrimination.

"Those who partake in such behaviour are not representative of our club or the loyal support who have stood by us through thick and thin.

"We are currently investigating to identify the individuals involved."

Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.
