Abusive anti-Tory graffiti has been sprayed on to a bus stop in Leith.
Councillor Nick Cook shared an image of the "Burn Tory Scum" vandalism which has appeared at a shelter on Easter Road, close to the junction with Albert Street.
The City of Edinburgh Council have confirmed that they have been in touch with the company who manages bus stops in the city, JCDecaux, to arrange a clean-up.
Councillor Cook, a Conservative representative for Morningside, took to social media to ask SNP figures to condemn the hate speech.
This incident is the latest in a string of abusive messages to have been spray painted in Leith.
Edinburgh Live reported in December how several cases of abusive graffiti had been angering residents in the area.
Vile racist slogans including "P**is go home" and "Blacks out" had been seen around Stead's Place, off Leith Walk.
"Get Brexit Done" graffiti was also scrawled across the SNP election campaign office of Deidre Brock at Yardheads in the run up to the general election.
And nasty anti-EU messages were spotted on a building at Cables Wynd last September.
