Angels of the North series three is on the way to BBC iPlayer

A new series of the popular BBC iPlayer binge-watch sensation Angels of the North is due to air at the end of this year.

It’s been a huge success on BBC iPlayer and the girls from Longlox Super Salon, in Newcastle, will soon be back on our screens.

SammyJo Pearson, owner of Longlox and her talented team of hairdressers first burst onto our screens in 2019, showing viewers all the action on and off the salon floor and out of hours in their own hectic lives.

Their relatable stories and fun personalities racked up hundreds of thousands of views for the show within a few days and a second series was aired last year.

Filming was soon rocked by the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic and like many businesses, Longlox closed but reopened in July 2020 after the lifting of the first lockdown, and filming resumed.

The Geordie Beauty’s shown viewers how they were adjusting to working under new rules and regulations and how difficult it was for SammyJo to run a busy Super Salon during the Pandemic.

Like true pros, the girls smashed it though and they have just wrapped filming for series number three.

Two local businesses will appear on the show this time around, including a popular local tattoo studio, Pure Ink Studios and Bilton Hall ABC Boxing Club.

Owner of Pure Ink, Shane Gutteridge, 28, is a childhood friend of SammyJo and Bilton Hall coach and PT, Callum Larson, is the third generation of his family to train local boxing talent at the club.

With streaming figures for the first and second series of Angels of the North now over 7 million, the new series of the fun and relatable binge-worthy hit show is sure to be one to watch!

Catch up on Series 1 and 2 of Angels of the North now on BBC iPlayer.
