Angels’ Mike Trout says Eagles are going to the Super Bowl

Mike Trout broke the hearts of Philadelphia fans all across the country when he signed a gigantic contract extension with the Angels, ending any dream of the Phillies pairing Major League Baseball’s best player with Bryce Harper.

Trout is still beloved in the tri-state area, and he’s still a huge Eagles fan. Recently, the Angels superstar was asked by NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Jim Salisbury for his Eagles prediction at MLB All-Star Game media day. Trout exuded confidence in revealing this expected prediction.

“Going to the Super Bowl, baby,” he said.

Trout is right to have confidence, as the Eagles have one of the most complete rosters in the NFL and added explosiveness to the offense when they traded for Jordan Howard and DeSean Jackson. They then drafted studs Miles Sanders and JJ Arcega-Whiteside in the second round.

With the Angels unlikely to make a deep postseason run this year, expect to see Trout at the Linc early and often.
