Angels and Dodgers play to a 13-13 tie

March 10--Highlights of the Dodgers' and Angels' 13-13 exhibition tie at Tempe, Ariz.

AT THE PLATE: The teams combined for 36 hits over nearly four hours at Tempe Diablo Stadium.

Dodgers center fielder Joc Pederson entered the game with five strikeouts in nine plate appearances, but he launched a home run on the second pitch he saw from Jered Weaver. He also singled and scored. ... Austin Barnes and Scott Van Slyke also homered for the Dodgers, and Barnes added two singles.

Angels center fielder Mike Trout continued his torrid spring with a double, triple and walk in three plate appearances. ... Kole Calhoun, Albert Pujols and Andrelton Simmons all reached base twice for the Angels. ... Roberto Baldoquin tied the game for the Angels with a three-run double in the ninth inning.

ON THE MOUND: Dodgers right-hander Mike Bolsinger gave up two runs in three relief innings. He struck out two, walked one, and allowed two hits. Also for the Dodgers, right-hander Chris Hatcher gave up two hits and a run in one inning. Jamey Wright, a 41-year-old nonroster invitee, got four outs and gave up two runs. Left-hander Luis Avilan threw a scoreless inning.

For the Angels, left-handed prospect Nate Smith struggled for a second consecutive outing, this time recording only one out and giving up four runs. Right-handers Joe Smith, Deolis Guerra and Javy Guerra each threw a scoreless inning.

EXTRA BASES: Dodgers minor league outfielder Rico Noel stole two bases, and the Angels' Simmons stole one. ... Baldoquin, the Cuban shortstop prospect, flubbed the first ball hit to him after he entered the game for Simmons in the sixth inning. In the same inning, first baseman Ji-Man Choi made an errant throw trying to turn a double play.
