Musician, political campaigner, and Unicef ambassador Angelique Kidjo will open the WOMADelaide world music and dance festival. Her debut album Logozo hit number one of Billboard’s world music chart 25 years ago, and she remains one of the world’s most engaging and adventurous singer-songwriters.
She will perform a collaboration written by Phillip Glass with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, as well as Gershwin’s Summertime, and several original pieces that she wrote with Jean Hebrail.
