Angelino shirt number confirmed during Man City vs West Ham

New Manchester City signing Angelino has had his shirt number confirmed during the pre-season friendly with West Ham in China.

The 22-year-old left-back returned to the Etihad Stadium after one year in the Eredivisie with PSV Eindhoven, where he made 34 Eredivisie appearances last term.

Pep Guardiola's side activated a buyback clause in defender's contract and he made his second debut for City in the clash against West Ham in the Premier League Asia Trophy.

Starting the match and wearing the number 12 jersey, it has now been confirmed by the club that this will be the shirt number for the Spain U21 international next season.

Tommy Doyle was wearing his old number, 69.

It did not quite go to plan for Angelino against the Hammers though as he conceded a penalty for handball in the first half of the match, which was converted by Mark Noble.

City are due to play four matches in the Far East, clashing with either Newcastle United or Wolves this weekend in their second match of the Premier League Asia Trophy.

The Premier League champions also face Hong Kong outfit Kitchee FC and second-tier Japanese outfit Yokohama FC before returning to England for the Community Shield tie against Liverpool.
