Angelina Jolie spotted with new cryptic tattoo penned in Italian amid Brad Pitt divorce

Angelina Jolie has added an inking to her extensive gallery of tattoos.

The Hollywood actress, 46, flashed the new addition - which is on her inner forearm - during her stay in New York City last week.

Doing little to hide the art piece, Angelina's chosen design was in full view as she sported a short-sleeve white T-shirt.

Lara Croft star Angelina's tattoo is penned in Italian and reads: "eppur si muove," which translates to "and yet it moves" in English.

The saying is a quote made by astronomer Galileo Galilei and dates way back to 1633.

The phrase references the idea that, in the end, the truth will always prevail after the philosopher was forced to recant his (true) statement that the Earth moves around the Sun.

Angelina is amid divorce from Brad Pitt and a judge recently ruled that the former flames will have 50/50 joint custody of their children.

The pair are parents to Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.

The judge awarded Brad 50/50 after the couple split following alleged altercation Brad had with their son Maddox on a flight, which had prompted her to seek a divorce in 2016.

The FBI investigated the allegations but it was dropped with no charges brought against the actor.

Judge Ouderkirk is claimed to have made his thoughts clear in a lengthy ruling, following months of witness testimony.

They included child services professionals who interviewed the Jolie-Pitt children and others who have been around the family.

A source told the New York Post: “There was a significant change made in the custody agreements based on an extremely detailed decision made by the judge.

“Brad was just trying to have more time with his kids."

The source added: “This trial lasted for several months and there were a f*** ton of witnesses, experts, therapists and other people who have been with the kids and around them, and the decision was based on this."

Sources claimed the judge had made a “tentative decision,” adding that Jolie is continuing her legal fight.

“Joint custody is not the issue that Angelina objects to, there were other issues of concern, but the court proceedings are closed and sealed,” the insider said.

Jolie filed for divorce in 2016 just two years after she married Pitt at Chateau Miraval in France, in an intimate ceremony where all their children were invited to play a part.

The pair initially met while filming movie Mr and Mrs Smith in 2004 where they played a married couple hiding the fact they were both trained assassins.

Pitt was previously married to Friends actress Jennifer Aniston. The actors announced their split to fans in 2005.
