Angelina Jolie says looks 'don't matter' if you're not intelligent in blunt new interview

Angelina Jolie is one of the world's most beautiful women but she believes looks "don't matter".

The 44-year-old said being beautiful doesn't mean anything if you're not intelligent, a message she's passing on to her daughters.

Looking stunning in a new shoot for Elle UK magazine, Ange said the most attractive women have "an independent will and her own opinions".

She said: "I often tell my daughters that the most important thing they can do is to develop their minds. You can always put on a pretty dress, but it doesn't matter what you wear on the outside if your mind isn't strong.

"There is nothing more attractive — you might even say enchanting — than a woman with an independent will and her own opinions.”

She also backed what she called "wicked women", who stand up against injustice around the world.

Angelina added: "Women who refuse to follow rules and codes they don’t believe are best for themselves or their families. Women who won’t give up on their voice and rights, even at the risk of death or imprisonment or rejection by their families and communities.

"If that is wickedness, then the world needs more wicked women.”

Angelina is mum to Maddox, 17, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and Vivienne and Knox, 11.

It was recently revealed that she takes all six kids away with he r when she's filming because she doesn't want to be away from them.

A source revealed Hollywoodlife: "The main reason she works is to give them everything she can in life, but for the most part she would prefer to just be with them so the hours on set away from them are challenging.

"That is why she often brings them with her to set, or at the very least, takes them on location and sets up a temporary home for them so that they can at least be all together on the hours she isn’t working."
