Hill on the fight’s key moment
“I just used her momentum against her. I was trying to hit her and she would come forward and angle out, and when we got up against the fence, I tried to push her away with elbows. I was surprised I cut her, because I always throw elbows but I never cut people with them, so it finally worked. I was really happy.”
Hill on being ready to go three rounds at elevation
“I felt good. I felt strong. It was a really high-paced fight, but because I trained out in the mountains, out in Zacatecas for three or four weeks, I felt good going into the third round. The second round was kind of close, and I felt like I got the first round. So I knew she would come in strong and try to get the finish or at least try to win the last round. ”
Hill on what she wants next
“I grew up in Washington (D.C.) and there will a card there in December, so I would love to fight on that card. We’ll see. I think it is already full, but I’m going to ask. I said earlier that I would fight Tecia (Torres), but I feel like I was put on the spot. Anybody who is willing to jump in there, I’ll be happy. Maybe Karolina (Kowalkiewicz). I feel like it would be a good fight, as well. I enjoy fighting strikers. I don’t mind fighting a grappler, but I’ll fight whoever, whenever.”
