Angel Gomes extends Man Utd academy goal streak as rising stars shine on tour

An academy graduate has scored or assisted every goal of Manchester United’s pre-season tour thus far.

Andreas Pereira freed Anthony Martial to score Thursday’s opener against Tottenham in Shanghai before Angel Gomes produced a superb finish to seal a 2-1 win.

It continued an exciting trend for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side with youngsters included in the travelling squad eagerly taking their chances to impress.

Marcus Rashford and James Garner were on the score sheet as United got their tour off to a winning start against Perth Glory in Australia on 13 July.
