Angel Gomes considering Man Utd exit after 'upsetting' Ole Gunnar Solskjaer comments

Manchester United teenager Angel Gomes is considering leaving the Premier League club amid interest from Paris St-Germain, according to reports in Portugal.

The 18-year-old, who is considered one of the most talented players in the Red Devils' academy, was a 74th-minute substitute during the club's 2-0 defeat against relegated Cardiff on the final day of the Premier League season.

It was just his fourth first-team appearance for the club since making his senior debut against Crystal Palace on the final day of the 2016-17 season, with most of his game-time coming with the Under-23 side.

Despite being under contract at United until 2020, A Bola claims that Gomes could look to leave Old Trafford this summer and that the midfielder has caught the eye of PSG, as well as clubs in Spain and Portugal.

According to the Portuguese publication, Gomes has been disappointed by his lack of first-team opportunities, with his only other appearance this season coming during United's 3-1 win over Huddersfield in December.

The paper also claims that the Gomes was upset by Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after he reportedly suggested that the teenager was not ready for the physical demands of Premier League.

The English midfielder reportedly referenced Manchester City's Bernardo Silva and Barcelona's Lionel Messi as smaller players who have performed at the highest level.

Gomes is just one of a number of players who could be leaving Old Trafford this summer, with Solskjaer expected to oversee an overhaul of his squad in the coming months.

United have confirmed that experienced duo Antonio Valencia and Ander Herrera have already played their last games for club, with Herrera expected to complete a free transfer to French champions PSG.

Juan Mata is another player set to leave the club with his current contract set to expire this summer and a new deal yet to be agreed.
