Angel Gomes and Man Utd fans react after Ravel Morrison wins MOTM award for Sheffield United

Former Manchester United prodigy Ravel Morrison made his full debut for Sheffield United on Tuesday night as they overcame Blackburn in the second round of the League Cup.

Morrison assisted fellow ex-United player Oliver Norwood's goal in first-half injury time as the Blades won 2-1 at Bramall Lane.

The 26-year-old's man-of-the-match performance drew praise from his manager at full-time as Chris Wilder said: "For me, you've already seen he's already going to make a really big contribution for us.

"He's not far off (peak condition) now. There's still a little way for him to go. But he's within touching distance of it now and he'll bring a lot to the table for us."

The individual performance was also noted by United youngster Angel Gomes, who passed on his congratulations on Twitter.

Morrison remains a player United fans keep a close eye on and his performance against Blackburn certainly caught the attention of some of them.

Gomes was impressed...

Morrison returned the compliment...

And United fans reacted...

Bring him back.

He's at the wrong club.

If only.
