Ange Postecoglou sidesteps Celtic question as press conference 'ended' amid Parkhead vow of silence

Ange Postecoglou remained tight-lipped on the Celtic job as he was again quizzed over a move to Parkhead.

The current Yokohama F. Marinos boss is the frontrunner to replace Neil Lennon and has reportedly agreed personal terms with the club.

His side drew 1-1 with Consadole Sapporo in a J-League Cup play-off first leg but his post-match press conference inevitably turned towards Celtic.

The 55-year-old gave nothing away when asked similar questions last week and it's been reported the press conference was declared over before any follow-ups could be put to him.

Asked about the prospect of moving to Glasgow, Postecoglou replied: “As I said last week my focus is always on what I have got to do today and today we had a very important game and another game coming up on Wednesday so that is where my focus is.”

It's expected the former Australia boss' switch to Scotland could take some time as he does not hold the requisite UEFA Pro Licence coaching badges.

Celtic have applied for an exemption given the manager's 25 years of experience.
