Ange Postecoglou's furious Celtic blast captured on camera as boss turns the air blue with touchline rocket

It's become abundantly clear over the past over seven months that Ange Postecoglou is not a man to mince his words.

The Celtic boss set out expectations for his team from day one and hasn't shied away under the media glare either.

Those relentless standards he demands on the pitch have shone through in recent weeks, with Celtic on a sparkling run of form which has carried them to the summit of the Premiership.

They took to Scottish Cup action on Sunday with a fifth round victory over Raith Rovers.

Postecoglou's side eventually ran out 4-0 winners, although only after a much improved second-half display.

Liam Scales' fine strike from distance did have them ahead at the break against Championship opposition but the intensity which has blown opponents away since the New Year was evidently lacking.

Scales revealed afterwards that he and his team-mates had been on the receiving end of a half-time rocket, but jokingly admitted he couldn't divulge exactly what Postecoglou had to say.

But if the touchline blast picked up by Premier Sports' TV cameras during the opening period are any indication, it's no wonder the Irishman couldn't repeat his manager's words.

Postecoglou's tactical acumen has impressed fans and pundits alike since his arrival from Yokohama F. Marinos last summer.

But sometimes a simple message - delivered with absolutely fury, mind you - is all that's needed.

With his players aimlessly recycling the ball in their own half, suddenly Postecoglou's voice boomed above everyone else inside Celtic Park.

He bellowed: "F*****g hell! F***'s sake! Stop passing it back!"

Commentator Rory Hamilton confirmed it was indeed Postecoglou who had let rip on the touchline.

He said: "The loud shouts you can hear are from the touchline and it's Ange Postecoglou absolutely furious as that ball went back to Joe Hart."

It's a clip that delighted Celtic fans online, hearing their manager spell out his relentless demand for high standards in no uncertain terms.

And @chavmiester, as did several others, added: "I love him so much"

Goals from Giorgos Giakoumakis, Daizen Maeda and Nir Bitton followed in the second period as Celtic booked their place in the quarter-final.
