Ange Postecoglou's Celtic tactics leave rival's head 'fried' as he admits turning TV off after trying to figure Hoops out

He's been on the wrong side of an Angeball thrashing - and James McPake says trying to decipher how to stop Celtic leaves him dizzy.

The Dunfermline boss has guided the Pars back to the Championship courtesy of a League One title win in his first season in charge. But last term he was at Dundee, where the former defender was one of the first domestic sides to face Postecoglou's Celtic, with a tough day in order for the Dens Park club. They lost 6-0 as they tried to press the Premiership champions and watching from afar this term, McPake is in awe of their talent.

Speaking on PLZ, he's not a fan of sitting in, but preventing a cricket score was on the agenda at Parkhead on a day where Kyogo netted a hat-trick, losing 4-2 later that term at home. He said: "They are frightening. I can go back to last season and trying to manage against them, and now when I watch Celtic I think about how I would set up and what would I do.

Celtic Manager Ange Postecoglou (SNS Group)

"I need to turn the TV off because my head just fries. I go back to my playing career and I have played against them where we have just sat in and I hated it, against Rangers as well at a point they were really good.

"You might get through 20 minutes but there could be 20 minutes to go and you are 5-0 down. We lost 6-0 and we tried to high press them.

"But the pressing only lasts for a wee while and you are three goals down anyway, then it's damage limitation. He says they never stop and they are so good."
