Ange Postecoglou's Celtic press conference in full as he dismisses atmosphere concern with 'you could play at 3am' quip

Ange Postecoglou insists that Celtic could play their crunch Europa League tie against Ferencvaros at 3.30am and it wouldn't change the atmosphere at Celtic Park.

Postecoglou was responding to a question about the unusual kick off time of 3.30pm, which is due to the COP26 climate summit taking place in Glasgow in November.

Neither Celtic nor Rangers will be allowed to play at home in the Europa League on matchday four, so the former have been forced to reschedule their matchday three game as a home tie.

The Glasgow sides also cannot play at home on the same night, so Rangers have been handed the usual Thursday 8pm slot and Postecoglou's side must now play in mid-afternoon on a weekday in order to not clash with Champions League matches.

The Hoops face the Hungarian champions in a pivotal game, with both teams currently at the foot of the group on zero points.

But a jovial Postecoglou said: "Mate, I reckon you could play the game at 3.30am and you’d still get a good atmosphere at Celtic Park.

"The fans will roll up and sing their hearts out and our job is to reward them."

The Hoops' boss says that Portuguese winger Jota has slotted in to Celtic's system well, but insists there is more to come from the winger.

He said: “Abada and Kyogo have had that same spell as Jota so we’re creating a team that has multiple threats in an attacking sense.

"Jota has slotted right in really well and I think there’s more to come from him.

"I don’t think that means he’s the key anymore than Kyogo or Liel. The way we play helps these attackers bring out the qualities they have.

"You’re not going to score that goal against Motherwell if Tom Rogic doesn’t have the vision to put you through. It’s not about one player being the key.

"On any given day we have multiple goal threats and if you look at our goals this year they’ve come from just about everywhere.

"We’re not relying on one person or even two people to do that but Jota is playing his part.”
