Ange Postecoglou raves about Celtic 'world class' goal and reveals the deal he made Jota and Kyogo

Thrilled Ange Postecoglou savoured a "world class" opening goal as Celtic went to town on Ferencvaros.

An unusual Tuesday afternoon kick-off did nothing to throw his team off their stride as they racked up a first three Europa League points via a dominant 2-0 victory at Celtic Park.

50,427 supporters made the effort to turn out and they were rewarded with a moment to remember involving Jota and Kyogo Furuhashi, with the latter providing a devastating touch and finish to his team-mate's cutting through pass.

Postecoglou stated he's trying to encourage a brand of football such players will relish - but with the agreement they must also graft hard for the team.

An own goal second - taken away from David Turnbull by UEFA - was the product of Celtic 's work ethic and the manager was well pleased with the day's work.

He told BT Sport: "We started well, put them under pressure and controlled the game, it meant they had to work pretty hard in the first-half to stifle us but we still created some good chances, didn't allow them too much.

"We had a feeling they'd tire in the second-half because they were working so hard and it opened up for us.

"It was a brilliant first goal and we could have had a few more afterwards.

"Pleased for the players, they got their rewards. We were really disciplined, played our football and it was good to see.

"(The first goal) was a world-class move. They ( Jota and Kyogo) are two talented players.

"I said at the weekend, we're trying to play football that will suit those kind of guys and I think they appreciate that.

"The flipside is they've got to work pretty hard defensively. As I keep telling them, they'll get their rewards with the stuff they love to do but the pay-off is they have to work hard for the team.

"Defensively, both of them and Liel (Abada) did that tonight."
