Former Aston Villa and Australia captain Mile Jedinak insists Ange Postecoglou must be given the backing to succeed at Celtic.
And if he is the 36-year-old reckons it’s just a matter of time before his former boss will turn things around because he thrives under the pressure.
Postecoglou takes his team to the Czech Republic aiming to avoid going four competitive games without a win when they face FK Jabolec in the Europa League.
That comes after a draw and defeat against FC Midtjylland in the Champions League and a loss to Hearts on the opening day of the league season.
Postecoglou has since brought in Joe Hart and James McCarthy in a double signing swoop this week.
And 79-times capped star Jedinak, who is now Villa's Loan Player Development Coach, has told Hoops fans the former Socceroos boss will get it right as long as the Parkhead board back him.
He said: "The job he’s taken might seem a complex situation and I know he’ll be looking for the support and backing for what he has to do. He should be given that opportunity and I’m sure he will be.
"He’ll want to make sure the squad from top to bottom is on the same page. He’s done that wherever he’s gone whether at Brisbane Roar, Melbourne Victory, Australia or Yokohama F. Marinos.
"Obviously there’s the time factor at Celtic, but he’ll be hitting the ground running with the changes he wants to make.
"He thrives on pressure - I’ve said to a number of people over here he’ll do things his way and it’s an exciting way.
"It’s a massive thing for football in Australia to have Ange at such a huge football club. I don’t think anybody is under any illusions over how difficult a job it will be.
"But if anybody is going to tackle that head-on it’s going to be Ange, that’s just in his makeup and his nature.”
