Ange Postecoglou in five word response after Liel Abada's cryptic comments over lack of Celtic starts

Ange Postecoglou insists he’s “not worried” about Liel Abada despite cryptic quotes emerging from the Israeli’s homeland.

Celtic attacker Abada has proved a potent threat for Postecoglou’s side netting 12 times again this season. But he’s found regular starts few and far between, with most of those goals coming as an impact player from the bench.

Abada took part in an interview with Israeli TV, and when asked about his lack of starts he responded saying, “there are things behind it that people don’t know.” Those comments sparked concerns amongst fans and pundits but Postecolgou has swept aside any fears that Abada is struggling in Glasgow.

The Celtic boss said: "I’m not worried about him.”

He added: “He’s fine mate. I just go with how they are playing and Liel is in a great space right now. He’s done very well for us and he can still improve."

Abada started as Celtic overcame Hearts in Postecoglou’s 100 th game in charge. And the Austrailian boss believes there is still more to come from the tricky wide-man.

Postecoglou added: “They all have to be really strong across the year. All of the wingers have all played a part and they have all contributed to whatever combination has started or come on, which is great for us.

“We will need them at the moment. Some people think it’s a bit of a luxury to have all of these guys and they have all been fit for a while but it shows it can change quickly.

“James Forrest is out and Daizen Maeda is a doubt for the weekend, so you see why we need plenty of cover."
