Ange Postecoglou in Celtic transfer 'one more' claim as boss leaves Parkhead door open

Ange Postecoglou has left the door open for Celtic to recruit again before the end of the transfer window.

It was a walk in the Celtic Park on Wednesday as Postecoglou's men flexed their muscles against St Mirren with Kyogo bagging a brace and Liel Abada joining substitute David Turnbull on the scoresheet. It means Celtic retain their nine point gap at the top of the table with the Hoops hosting Championship outfit Greenock Morton on Saturday in the Scottish Cup.

And the Aussie, who saw the fruits of his labour rewarded when new signing Yuki Kobayashi had an impressive debut, admits the Hoops could stand to do one more transfer incoming before the deadline. The coach also hailed league top scorer for Kyogo for another powerful showing.

He told BBC Sportsound: "Yeah we've still got some time and we'll see. As I said, we're still trying to maybe bring one more in we'll see how that goes."

He added: "I thought it was a strong all-round performance. We did all aspects of our game pretty well. We started the game well, they obviously have some threats, particularly from long throws, but I thought we handled it pretty well.

"Our football beyond that was really good with four excellent goals and some great moves that didn't lead to goals.

"He [Kyogo] has been going well pretty well since the moment he arrived. He's got such great qualities, but he's a super finisher as well and we saw that tonight with his two goals.

"There was real quality in our team play to create them for him, but he's still got to finish them."
