Ange Postecoglou in Celtic 'anger' call as he warns players to learn Europa League demolition lesson

Boss Ange Postecoglou reckons the Celtic players must motivate themselves after a lacklustre start to the campaign.

The four goal drubbing at the hands of Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League is the latest disappointing result of the Australian's tenure.

Celtic have won only three of their seven Premiership games and haven't claimed an away win so far this term.

They travel to Pittodrie on Sunday in desperate need of three points, with Aberdeen also in the midst of a winless run.

Stephen Glass' men are on a eight game steak without a victory and he also badly requires the three points.

Postecoglou insists the heavy defeat to the Bundesliga side should be all the motivation the players need to get the season back on track.

When asked what he can do to lift the players following the European slog, he gaffer said: "It is not about lifting them.

"You have to take this disappointment and let it fuel you.

"It is not just about being a good football team, there's got to be something more there and we disappointed our fans on Thursday night.

"You have to take that anger and that disappointment and use it in a positive way and that is in a tough game away from home, show that we have learned the repercussions and consequences of a night like Thursday night and we don't want to repeat it.''
