Ange Postecoglou has Celtic sit-down with returning Gordon Strachan as he sends Jablonec intensity message

Ange Postecoglou hasn't given Gordon Strachan's surprise Celtic return much thought.

But he likes what he's gleaned from early discussions with the new Parkhead consultant already.

Strachan is back in Glasgow's east end for three months in a role that will focus on the academy and B team, as well as women's football.

And Postecoglou, while he admits it comes from higher up the club, reckons those are areas that should be addressed.

He said: "I have met Gordon and he is a very passionate football person which I kind of like.

"The information I have had is that we are keen to tap into his knowledge of the club in terms of some of the structures around the club, particularly around the academy and women's football which I think is really important infrastructure-wise.

"But again, how much that comes on my radar at the moment, this is probably the first time I have thought about it."

Postecoglou wants his side to show the same intensity this week as the 6-0 romp over Dundee on Sunday in which Kyogo Furuhashi netted a sensational hat-trick.

His side go into the second Europa League leg against Jablonec with a 4-2 lead – and he wants to impress the full stands of Celtic fans in attendance.

He added: "When the whistle goes I want to show the same intent we showed at the weekend.

"Irrespective of what the opponents may or may not come up with, it is important we set the tempo right from the start and let them adjust to us."
