Ange Postecoglou gets bizarre Celtic send-off as Yokohama unveil farewell merch including a £142 top

Yokohama F. Marinos have given Ange Postecoglou a Celtic send-off - by selling a range of merchandise for their former manager.

The J-League club still hold the Aussie coach in high regard after he was announced as the eventual successor to Neil Lennon on Thursday morning.

In his final game his Marinos side were downed on penalties by fourth-tier FC Honda but fans still applauded the man they call 'The Boss' when it became evident he was set to depart.

And as is almost standard practice with Japanese teams, now the club have unveiled a range of 'thank you' goodies for fans to buy.

Top of the list is a replica top - in red, white and blue tones - with a handwritten message from Postecoglou.

It's incredibly priced at 22,000 yen - or around £142.

Also among the items for sale is a photo frame, a keyring and a 'thank you Ange' tumbler costing 3,850 yen or £25.

It's not the first time Marinos have unveiled such a range as player Keita Endo's transfer to Union Berlin saw them flog a similar range of merchandise with the tagline "From Yokohama to Berlin".

Postecoglou is already getting down to business ahead of his arrival in Glasgow and subsequent 10-day quarantine with reports he could target Mat Ryan to fill the goalkeeper void at Celtic.

Vasilis Barkas, Scott Bain and Connor Hazard have all been used in the position but the Australia shot-stopper could provide a cost-effective solution.

He's also been linked with a move for Ado Onaiwu - a Yokohama star who earned his first international cap yesterday.
