Ange Postecoglou finally arrives for Celtic start as new manager heads straight to pre-season training

Ange Postecoglou finally arrived in Glasgow two weeks after he was appointed as Celtic boss.

And the former Australia coach headed straight for the Hoops Lennoxtown training ground to get down to pre-season business.

Postecoglou will put his charges - minus those on international duty - through their paces for the first time on Thursday morning.

The 55-year-old was forced to spend a period in quarantine in London following his arrival in the UK from Japan where he was previously working at Yokohama F Marinos.

Postecoglou met new Parkhead chief executive Dom McKay during his time in England, taking in Scotland’s Euro 2020 clash with England at Wembley.

But he has now flown into Glasgow where he will spend 12 days with his squad before heading to Wales for the club’s pre-season training camp with friendlies against Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton Athletic and Bristol City pencilled in.

He faces a huge early challenge with Celtic’s Champions League qualifying clash against Danish side FC Midtjylland just four weeks away.
