Ange Postecoglou dubs Celtic transfer speculation 'lies' as he provides update on Hoops January window business

Ange Postecoglou has slammed some of the speculation around Celtic's transfer business as 'lies and fabrications'.

The Hoops have so far added Japanese trio Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi, with all three deals completed at the start of the window.

Several other names have been linked, but Postecoglou says there is nothing in any of them.

However, he did confirm there was concrete interest in Riley McGree.

The 56-year-old is happy with his squad and won't be adding any more unless an 'extraordinary' opportunity presents itself or he loses someone.

Asked if his business was done, Postecoglou said: "Unless something extraordinary comes along or something happens within the existing squad which means we need to move.

"As we speak right now, there is no other offers or people I've spoken to.

"So the 20 names that come out tomorrow are all lies or fabrications, or people bored at home googling names and throwing them up there, or agents trying to get a bit more value for their clients.

"I can't be any clearer than that. One thing I won't do is lie, so there's no-one were talking to, there's no other offers, there's no-one else we have interest in. If that changes, I'll let you know.

"We had an idea of what we wanted to do in January and that was mainly focused around the targets I identified fairly early on, which was obviously the three lads we've brought in.

"We've had some interest in others but to be fair a lot of it is quite crazy to be honest.

"You can pretty much throw up any name now, and pretty much lie, I've got to say, and no-one says anything."
