Ange Postecoglou delivers magical response to emotional Celtic fan in live radio chat

Ange Postecoglou delivered a "magical" response to an emotional Celtic fan who contacted talkSPORT to hail the former Hoops boss.

The now Tottenham Hotspur manager appeared on radio alongside Jim White and Simon Jordan this morning and plenty fans sent in their well wishes for the Aussie boss.

Among them were Celtic fans and White read one message out Postecoglou who issued an emotional response about his time in Glasgow.

The message read: "I want to dislike Ange because he left us but I understand it. I just can't dislike him, he's an absolute class act listening to him and thanks to Ange for everything in his time at Celtic."

In response, Postecoglou said: "It was a magical time for me. I have gone from managing one of the most famous football clubs in the world to managing one of the biggest.

"I am living the dream and my two years at Celtic, I don't need to tell people that, it will stay with me forever and mainly because of the supporters. It was a magical couple of years there.

"I keep saying to everyone, if you have a bucket list of clubs you want to be involved with, Celtic would be right at the top of that list."

On his decision to join Spurs, Postecoglou added: “I love a challenge, I’ve done it my whole career. Every step along the way when I’ve decided to move I’ve moved on the back of success.

“The fact this is one of the biggest clubs in the world that hasn’t had success for a very long time and was coming off the back of a poor season, that was a key driver for me.

“When you go into a challenge like that you want to leave a mark and make an impact. That’s the biggest thing for me, the opportunity here to create something.

“The challenge is for me the same everywhere, to get the team to play a certain kind of football that gives fans something excited about on a weekly basis and bring success to the club. That’s the reason behind what I do."
