Ange Postecoglou and new Celtic CEO relationship explained as insider makes transfer dealing claim

Ange Postecoglou and new Celtic chief executive Michael Nicholson have a great working relationship states Craig Moore.

Nicholson has been named as Dom McKay's successor at Parkhead after a successful spell as interim Hoops CEO.

The 45-year-old was formerly Celtic’s director of legal and football affairs and has been with in Glasgow since 2013.

Celtic boss Postecoglou has been working alongside Nicholson ahead of a busy January where his side are expected to make a raft of signings - including a raid on the J-League where they found Kyogo Furuhashi.

Former Rangers star Moore - who is now a football agent - says fellow Australian and friend Postecoglou 's relationship with his CEO will boost Parkhead business next month after a chaotic summer window.

Moore told Go Radio: "I think it's very important at any football club, (the relationship between) head coach and the CEO.

"Michael Nicholson and Ange have not only probably identified options for the winter, but it's about acting on them quickly.

"That's where they were in the off-season, the uncertainty of nobody knowing who's role was what. I know Michael Nicholson gets on really well with Ange.

"It's positive for Celtic and they will get down to business in terms of recruitment.

"Ange will be the one who makes the football messages to supporters and on the business side, it'll be Michael."
