Ange Postecoglou addresses Celtic contract talks as he issues 'don't worry' message to fans

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is not worried over speculation surrounding his new deal at Parkhead.

Record Sport revealed on Thursday night that the Australian is set to be offered a new bumper deal after delivering the Premiership back to Parkhead.

The 56-year-old came in off the back of the club's disastrous push for a tenth successive title, rebuilding the squad and wrestling the title back off Rangers.

He'll get his hands on the coveted prize after their final game of the season against Motherwell at home on Saturday.

Postecoglou is currently on a one-year rolling contract and the Celtic hierarchy want him tied down long-term ahead of a return to Champions League group stage football.

But a new deal isn't something the former Aussie boss is willing to rush over the line.

He said: "I've said all along, my own fulfilment doesn't come from those kind of rewards. It comes from being part of something special and that's what I have here.

"I can assure you the club has looked after me and my family in every possible way, I couldn't feel more supported in every possible way.

"If I keep doing a good job I'm sure I'll be be looked after in the future too. That's not just about contracts it's about other things as well.

"I'm happy at Celtic, you'll never have to worry about that stuff with me."
