The son of a billionaire life peer has died after falling from his penthouse home in central London.
Angad Paul, 45, was the CEO of Caparo Industries, the company founded by his father, Lord Paul of Marylebone.
He suffered catastrophic injuries after falling eight stories on Sunday.
Emergency services were called after Mr Paul was spotted lying on the floor of the building beside the penthouse. Paramedics were unable to help and Mr Paul was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said there were no suspicious circumstances and officers were preparing a file for the coroner.
One eyewitness told the Standard: “There were four or five police cars, the fire brigade and three ambulances outside the flat. Forensic teams came later.
“From the moment police arrived to the time they left, it was probably four hours.”
Mr Paul was described as a "young and bright" man by the Indian author Suhel Seth.
Under Mr Paul, Caparo branched into film, design and supercars and also set up the TV channel Film24, which was later sold to Sony.
The company has been struggling since the collapse in steel prices with 16 of its companies being forced into administration with the loss of 150 jobs in the UK.
Mr Paul married media lawyer Michelle Bonn 10 years ago and lived in the apartment complex with his parents and twin brothers.
