Anfield shows off fitting new Liverpool banner

Anfield looked resplendent as it got ready to host Liverpool's next Premier League match against Aston Villa on Sunday.

The hallowed ground has been adorned with the famous flags and banners which are always seen on The Kop and around the stadium before every matchday.

They have been spread across seats due to fans being unable to attend matches and in order to make the Reds feel at home.

Ahead of the game against Dean Smith's side, a huge new banner was displayed across the Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand commemorating Liverpool's recent Premier League title win.

The incredible banner, commissioned by the Spion Kop 1906 supporters group, simply read: "LIVERPOOL FC - CHAMPIONS AGAIN".

It was painted by artist Emma Norbury who told the ECHO it took around 40 hours to make and is more than 40 metres wide.
