Anel Ahmedhodzic's dad believes transfer conspiracy is preventing son joining Chelsea

Chelsea's attempts to complete a £6.9million transfer for Anel Ahmedhodzic are being blocked by his agent, according to the Malmo star's father.

Ahmedhodzic, formerly on the books at Nottingham Forest, has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge as Blues boss Frank Lampard eyes defensive reinforcements.

The 21-year-old centre-back is also a target for AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven, both of whom have reportedly sent scouts to watch the Bosnia and Herzegovina international.

Ahmedhodzic's father, Mirsad, insists Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia is willing to table a bid for his son - but claims the player's agent, former West Brom striker Markus Rosenberg, is foiling the deal.

"He’s [Rosenberg's] not doing his job. He has told Marina at Chelsea that Anel is not going there," Mirsad said.

"He wants to go abroad after the season finishes. He also believes that Italian agent Federico Pastorelli has been in talks with several club across Europe to make a deal happen for Ahmedhodzic.

"Markus hasn’t arranged this, he doesn’t have the contacts. I have tried to inform Markus that Pastorelli wants to cooperate with him."

In his social media outburst, Mirsad also accused Rosenberg of trying to alienate him from his son.

In response, Ahmedhodzic - who helped Malmo win the Swedish top flight this year - has criticised his father for a lack of "support" and admitted this is not the first time he has acted out on social media.

"I can start by saying that I am very disappointed," he told Swedish outlet Kvallspoten . "To write such things on social media and call other people idiots, not to support me.

"I have always felt a love for him. But I have not felt any support, he has not supported me in the right way. Especially not now when things are going so well for me.

"I focus on my matches and my football, nothing else. I try to be as humble as I can, I try to do everything in a positive way, I try to be mature in my answers and my thoughts.

"But as you can see. My dad’s not there. He writes various things, especially on Facebook. This is not the first time he has done so.

"He was also involved when I played in Nottingham Forest, he wrote in some forums there and it has always affected me negatively. I have always received criticism for it."
