The recently released trailer of Anees Bazmee's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' has certainly made the audience go into the flashback and compare the new version with the original that starred Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan in the lead roles.
While there was a glimpse of the song 'Ami Je Tomar' playing in the background giving the audience some adrenaline rush, there was the new cast, Kartik Aaryan's swag, the chemistry between Kiara and Kartik and Tabu's narration that kept the viewers hooked.
ETimes got in touch with the director Anees Bazmee to know how he shouldered the responsibility of giving a fresh touch to this sequel without tampering with the original essence of Priyadarshani's 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa', Anees says, "I had just kept the basic thought line of horror-comedy in mind and the new cast has done justice to their roles which has kept the original essence intact. It is a proper blend of horror and comedy."
Comparisons are bound to happen between the two films and Anees has confessed in an earlier interview about the same. He mentioned that 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' is a cult film and he has taken a calculative risk of taking some parts from some old elements and has introduced something new in this one.
'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' stars Kartik Aaryan as Rooh Baba, Kiara Advani as Reet, while Tabu plays Kanika Sharma. The film is slated to release on May 20 in theatres.
