Andy Ruiz Jr's training camp takes odd turn as heavyweight moves broken down car

Andy Ruiz Jr's preparations for his rematch with Anthony Joshua in December took a strange twist after the heavyweight world champion had to help push a stricken car out of the road.

The 30-year-old is busy preparing for the second instalment of his rivalry with the 2012 Olympic gold medalist, with the bout set to take place in Saudi Arabia on December 7.

With the clash little over six weeks away, both boxers are currently being worked hard in the gym to ensure they are in the best possible shape by the time they step into the ring later this year.

Last week, Ruiz Jr posted a clip on his Instagram account where the Mexican-American demonstrated his lightning quick hand speed, something that could again trouble Joshua.

And after showing his agility, the 30-year-old set about proving his strength when helping a broken down car to safety over the weekend.

Alexander Mych, a member of Ruiz Jr's close circle, uploaded the clip to his Instagram story where the 30-year-old world champ could be seen moving the car along with another man.

In the video, Ruiz Jr is heard being given words of encouragement in his efforts to help move the vehicle away from danger.

The unified world champion is told: "Heavyweight camp, it's a workout baby. Let's go. Come on, let's go.

"Six weeks (to the fight), let's go."

The footage emerged after Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn queried Ruiz Jr's claim that he had lost weight ahead of December's rematch.

The Mexican-American claims he will step into the ring later this year '10lbs lighter' compared to his weight for June's first matchup between the pair.

Hearn, though, hit back and said: "Make your own mind up. That clip that I saw, which was him training in San Diego, I didn't think that he looked slimmer than he did last camp."
