Anthony Joshua outpointed Andy Ruiz Jr to become to a two-time heavyweight champion - and did it exactly as his opponent predicted.
Joshua dominated the rematch from start to finish in Saudi Arabia to avenge his stunning defeat by the Mexican-American in June.
He was given the nod by each of the three judges as the Brit put his career back on track.
And his game plan was exactly as Ruiz had told him on Wednesday after the pair had come face to face after their press conference.
Joshua asked Ruiz, "What's the strategy to beat you?"
Ruiz initially misheard and when Joshua repeated his question, the champion said: "Try to box me around..." before Joshua broke off the conversation.
Joshua was far more controlled in the sequel with Ruiz having only flashes of opportunity - and he failed to take advantage.
The new champion said on BBC 5 Live: "It's not about me, this is about the public and boxing, British worldwide boxing. We made history here. We opened the floodgates for more and more boxing worldwide.
"I can box, I can really box but I like to fight. I'm a warrior at heart. When you are used to knocking a man out, sometimes it may happen to you.
"I knew I would correct my wrongs, I'm a man who learns from his mistakes."
When asked where his career goes next, Joshua said: "I don't know, I don't want to talk too much. A big mouth is not what people respect. Whatever we can do, I will do.
"Let the fans decide. We are up for anything.
"I'm made for this stage. Look at this, a purpose built stadium for a purposeful night tonight."
