Andy Ruiz Jr makes Anthony Joshua fight prediction ahead of Saudi Arabia rematch

Andy Ruiz Jr has warned Anthony Joshua his stunning upset was no fluke.

Ruiz shocked Joshua in New York in June to dethrone the heavyweight world champion and relieve him of his three belts.

The Brit immediately triggered the rematch clause in his contract and will bid to win back his prized possessions on December 7 in Saudi Arabia.

The rivals kicked off a three-day press tour in the desert on Wednesday where questions about the country's dreadful human rights record were conspicuous by their absence.

Instead Ruiz vowed to ensure his reign as champion will not go down as one of the shortest in boxing history.

"The hunger remains, I don't want 15 minutes of fame, I want it to last for a generation," he said. "I want to be a champion for many years.

"He's more hungry, he wants his belts back and that's giving me more motivation. I only had a month and a half to train for the first fight but this time we have a whole camp.

"I know Joshua is going to be coming hard, he's going to be strong, he's hungry but I am as well. I know a lot of people are saying I'm not training but I'm working hard.

"I made my dreams come true after a lot of sacrifice and blood, sweat and tears.

"I'm going to make history again and win in the same fashion and prove everybody wrong."

Joshua, who will come face-to-face with Ruiz in New York on Thursday and again in London on Friday, said: "I felt I was up against a good challenger at the time.

"I was only champion until June 1 and Andy will only be champion until December 7 when he has to put his titles in the air.

"Two warriors will go to war and the best man will walk out victorious.

"I'm really looking forward to the challenge and I'm glad people here are supporting boxing."
