Andy Ruiz Jr holds open training session after 'turning down offer from WWE'

Andy Ruiz Jr wasn't scared to give Anthony Joshua a glimpse into his preparations for their upcoming rematch as the unified world heavyweight champion trained in front of fans on Sunday.

The Mexican-American produced one of boxing's great shocks in June to inflict a first professional defeat on AJ and claim the Brit's IBF, WBA Super and WBO world titles.

The pair are due to meet again in a highly-anticipated rematch which will take place in Saudi Arabia on December 7 in what will be one of the sport's richest fights.

Both boxers are currently engaged in their training camps for the bout as they look to get themselves in the best possible condition by the time they step into the ring.

And Ruiz Jr had no qualms with giving Joshua an insight into his training as he held a public workout in California on Sunday.

Fans had gathered in San Diego to get a look at the 30-year-old, who also uploaded a clip of the session to his Instagram account.

In the video, the unified world heavyweight champion can be seen working on some powerful combinations, something which Joshua may have to look out for in December.

The footage shows Ruiz Jr's dedication to his career in boxing, as did comments made by the Mexican-American over the weekend.

The 30-year-old revealed that, like fellow heavyweight Tyson Fury , he too had been offered the chance to cross over into WWE, but unlike the Brit, he turned the opportunity down.

“They invited me to go a while back when I won the title - they invited be to go over there and check it out," revealed the heavyweight world champ.

“But you know what, boxing is my life so this is the only thing I know how to do besides being with my family.

“I’m going to stick to boxing and accomplish more and maybe down the line we’ll look for something else to do.”
