Liverpool star Andy Robertson has been named in the UEFA fans' Team of the Year after his exploits in the Champions League last season.
The Scotland captain was part of the Reds team that won the competition, playing in all 13 games. He also provided 13 assists in all competitions though his performances in the Premier League are given less weight in the calculations.
He scored his first Champions League goal this season as he found the back of the net against RB Salzburg, and fans have voted him into the best XI of the season.
That puts him in the company of Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi and Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo was included for a record 14th time after helping Portugal to win the inaugural edition of the UEFA Nations League.
A number of Robertson's Liverpool team-mates have also made the cut.
Goalkeeper Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Sadio Mane and former Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk are also included.
The nominees were previously chosen by the UEFA.com editorial team on the basis of their performances from January to December 2019. Performances in UEFA competitions carried a greater weight in the evaluation.
