Harry Kane has revealed that Andy Robertson didn't think his challenge even warranted a foul despite some calling for a red card.
The Tottenham forward put in a tough challenge on the Liverpool left-back in the first-half.
Robertson was forced to leap over Kane's sliding tackle, but was caught slightly.
Kane's reaction made it clear that he didn't feel he'd fouled his teammate before Paul Tierney dished out a yellow card.
VAR intervened to check for a possible dismissal, but quickly waved it on and Kane was never concerned that he was going to be given his marching orders.
He told Sky Sports: "No, definitely not, I thought it was a strong tackle but I thought I won the ball. Obviously I haven't seen it back.

"When you're playing against top sides and you're fighting for points all over the place sometimes there's going to be strong tackles.
"Look, they've checked it and it stayed as a yellow card."
Robertson leapt up despite Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool bench making their feelings known.
The Scot even told Kane that he didn't think the challenge should've been penalised.
"On the pitch I didn't feel like it (a red) and Andy on the pitch said 'you just caught my foot, I don't think it was a foul'," added Kane.
"When you slow stuff down in football it makes it looks a bit worse, but that's what VAR is there for."
Kane opened the scoring early on in north London as he finished smartly from a Tanguy Ndombele pass.
Diogo Jota equalised for the visitors before the break as he headed home.
Tottenham spurned several opportunities to retake the lead in the second-half before Robertson was able to put Liverpool ahead.
His smart header turned home Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross.
However he went from hero to zero as his challenge on Emerson Royal was reviewed by VAR which then saw him sent-off.
Heung-min Son was then able to seize on a Alisson error to equalise.
“It was a great game to be involved in and am sure it was a great game to watch as well," said Kane.
"There were plenty of chances at both ends. We had some clear chances that we had to do better with to be honest.
"Overall it was a tough battle against a very good side. We move forward to the next one now."
