Andy Robertson's cheeky message to Trent Alexander-Arnold after Liverpool's win

Trent Alexander-Arnold was a powerhouse against Leicester City yesterday , producing a man of the match performance.

The 21-year-old right-back finished the game with a goal and two assists as the Reds dominated in a 4-0 victory.

This saw Liverpool move 13 points clear of the Foxes at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand.

Alexander-Arnold's comprehensive performance saw him rack up 20 assists since the start of last season, the most of any player in the Premier League in that period.

This is four more than fellow teammate and left-back Andy Robertson who has clocked up 16 assists over the last two Premier League seasons.

Upon realising Alexander-Arnold's lead, Robertson took to Twitter replying to one of his earlier tweets.

On November 11, Robertson tweeted a gif of himself smiling with the caption: "Realising you have more assists than @trentaa98."

But following last night's performance from Alexander-Arnold, Robertson corrected his tweet and joked: "This aged well...", followed by a sad face.

The friendly banter between the pair saw Alexander-Arnold like the tweet before responding with his own clip of him copying Kylian Mbappe's goal celebration.

Jürgen Klopp’s side will now look to recharge before Sunday’s clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield.
