Andy Robertson rips Liverpool team-mate after Curtis Jones screamer secures win over Everton

Liverpool star Andy Robertson has aimed a cheeky dig at team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the wake of a sensational strike by Curtis Jones.

The youngster scored the winner in the Merseyside derby against Everton , cutting onto his right foot and curling the ball over Jordan Pickford.

Robertson congratulated his Liverpool team-mate on his goal - but noticed that 'The Ox' may not have had faith that the ball was going in.

The Scotland captain posted an image of Oxlade-Chamberlain screaming for a pass, just at the moment that Jones pulled the trigger.

He wrote: "What a hit @curtisjr_10!

"Bet you’re glad he didn’t pass it @Alex_OxChambo! Top performance lads, amazing result."

Robertson was rested for the match as Jurgen Klopp rotated heavily for the match, with Jones making only his third start.

Everton went with a full-strength line-up but still haven't won at Anfield in over 20 years, with their last victory away to their city rivals coming in September 1999.
