Andy Robertson reveals LINGERIE job as Liverpool star goes to extreme lengths to pay for Malia trip

Liverpool star Andy Robertson has reveled his surprising past as a sales assistant- in the Marks and Spencer LINGERIE department.

The 26-year-old won the Champions League last season and is rated in the £80m transfer bracket.

Long before his exploits under Jurgen Klopp, the rampaging full-back took on a role with the famous retailer to pay for a lads holiday to Greece.

Talking to the Peter Crouch podcast, he said: "I was on the checkout at M&S - my mates got discounts on Percy Pigs, so they were delighted.

"I was only 17 or 18...I actually worked a couple of shifts in women's lingerie, they were short on staff and I got flung up there."

Asked what the role entailed, he said: "You just talk s**t to them and hopefully they buy it."

The defender added: "I was at Queen's Park, I wasn't in the first team yet, I would have been in the under-19s - it was my last year at school, so I was working nights and weekends.

"I just had to get that money for the end of school holidays - I had to get on the plane to Malia with my boys."

Robertson infamously tweeted about life as a skint 18-year-old in 2012 in an often shared Tweet.

He stated: "Life as this age is rubbish with no money #needajob".
