Andy Robertson perfectly sums up Liverpool fans' feeling about Divock Origi after Wolves winner

Andy Robertson has hailed Liverpool striker Divock Origi following his injury-time winner at Wolves on Saturday.

The Reds dominated possession at Molineux but missed a multitude of chances and were seemingly about to squander the chance to go top of the Premier League, after Chelsea’s defeat to West Ham United earlier in the day.

However, with virtually the last kick of the game, Origi scored to give Jurgen Klopp’s side three precious points that could prove crucial in the title race.

The win took the Reds a point clear of Thomas Tuchel’s team - although Manchester City have now taken over at the summit - and Robertson took to Twitter to celebrate.

IAN DOYLE: Jurgen Klopp makes Divock Origi transfer admission and sends message to his 'next manager'

He tweeted: “WOW! Unreal feeling. Was a scrap but that’s why we always fight to the end.

“P.s. I’ll take my grandkids to visit the Divock Origi statue one day WHAT A MAN.”

Origi has already written himself into Liverpool folklore with two goals in the incredible Champions League semi-final success against Barcelona in 2019 - before he scored the crucial second against Tottenham Hotspur in the final.

Despite mainly being peripheral figure during his time at Anfield, the Belgian will be crucial for the Reds with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah set to depart the club in January for the African Cup of Nations.

Origi has four goals in nine appearances this season and Liverpool will certainly need him during the unrelenting festive period, which is sure to play a huge part in which team goes on to win the title.

Next up for the Reds is a trip to AC Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday.

However, with his side already through to the last-16 as group winners, Klopp may opt to rest the bulk of his first team and give fringe players the opportunity to impress.
