Andy Robertson on what Liverpool need to prove against Leicester City

Andy Robertson has called on Liverpool to produce a "complete performance" when the Reds host Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

The Premier League leaders have been flawless so far, domestically, and are going in search of their eighth successive win in the top flight this term when they host a Leicester side in good of their own with four wins and two draws from their seven matches.

Maintaining a 100 per cent start to the season would extend Liverpool's winning run in the Premier League to 16 games in a sequence that dates back to March, but Robertson believes he and his team-mates after letting slip a three-goal lead to Red Bull Salzburg on Wednesday night.

Robertson added to Sadio Mane's opener before Mohamed Salah made it 3-0 as the European champions looked set to blow away their Austrian visitors in Group E of the Champions League.

However, with goals from Hee-chan Hwang, Takumi Minamino and Erling Haaland to give the Reds an almighty scare before Salah produced a 70th-minute winner.

With Brendan Rodgers' high-flying Foxes next up at Anfield, Robertson has called for the entire squad to improve as they aim to establish an eight-point lead at the summit ahead of Manchester City's visit from Wolves on Sunday afternoon.

Robertson said: "At three-nil up and you think you are going to be comfortable but we started probably doing things we shouldn't have done, we let them back into the game and they are a good team. That's why that happened.

"Then when we went to 3-3 and to show the character we did was important. But we need to sort out that 50-minute period when we weren't good enough.

"We have had a lot of away games but so far, so good but we need to get better and that is the pressure we put on ourselves.

"We have got results but today could have been different, Saturday could have been different so we need to look at that and we need to play better.

"But when you don't play well it is important to get results and that's what we have done. We were very good first half but we need a complete performance and we need that on Saturday."
