Andy Robertson makes Man City admission as Liverpool go second in Premier League

Andy Robertson has admitted the gap between Liverpool and Man City in the Premier League title race is too big to be thinking about at this moment in time.

The Reds reduced the deficit to City to 11 points with a 3-0 win over Brentford at Anfield on Sunday afternoon and have a game in hand over their rivals.

Goals from Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Takumi Minamino secured all three points as Liverpool got pack to winning ways.

However, the left-back insists Liverpool have to focus on just winning games.

" Man City are a fantastic team – one of the best in Premier League history – we have closed a bit, but we have to concentrate on winning games," said Robertson.

"The gap is too big to be looking at for the moment.

"We are up against one of the best and we will give it a go and try and pick up as many points as possible."

Liverpool take on Arsenal in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday night after the first leg finished 0-0 at Anfield.

It was a frustrating night for the Reds, but they are looking to book a place at Wembley to take on Chelsea in the final.
