Andy Robertson inspires Liverpool to Champions League glory and even the streaker only has eyes for him

He's the coolest guy in the world and word certainly gets around.

Andy Robertson, Scotland's best player in a generation, is now a Champions League winner after starring for Liverpool in their 2-0 win over Tottenham in Madrid.

You all know his backstory but as the man himself said this week, he's "working his b******* off" to get to this point. None of his success is down to luck.

Robertson is the real deal and his reputation as the world's best left-back certainly caught the first half streaker's attention as she cast an admiring glance in the 25-year-old's direction.

To be fair, the overeager blonde was the highlight for many in an otherwise deathly dull affair when the ball was in play.

Mo Salah scored in the opening minute but it wasn't exactly a matched that was packed with talking points.

The game couldn't have started in more explosive circumstances as Liverpool were awarded a penalty after just 26 seconds.

Moussa Sissoko was harshly adjudged to have handled Sadio Mane's cross as referee Damir Skomina pointed to the spot.

Salah did the rest as he fired right down the middle with Hugo Lloris diving to his left and the Frenchman was helpless as the ball hit the net.

It appeared football fans around the world were set to be treated to a game to rival the thrills and spills of the semi-finals but it never materialised.

Both teams huffed and puffed but Jurgen Klopp's side leaned on their defensive resolve for the rest of the first period.

Harry Kane, who hadn't played since March, was included in the starting XI but you have to wonder if Mauricio Pochettino wishes he used his talisman as an impact sub instead.

Both teams battled hard and Totennham threatened in the final minutes as Christian Eriksen and Hon-Meung Son missed were denied by Alisson.

Divock Origi then sealed the win as he fired home in the 88th minute to seal Liverpool's sixth European Cup.

But everyone knows the big night is only about one man and his adoring public.

Whether it's becoming the next James Bond or being named as our new King - Robertson deserves all the platitudes which are coming his way.
