Liverpool will keep a close eye on Andy Robertson's fitness after Steve Clarke suggested the defender could play for Scotland in midweek.
Robertson sat out his country's 1-0 UEFA Nations League defeat in Slovakia on Sunday afternoon as a precaution having complained of tightness in his hamstring.
The left-back had featured for 120 minutes as Scotland beat Serbia on penalties three days earlier to qualify for next summer's European Championships.
The Tartan Army need to win in Israel on Wednesday night to guarantee promotion to the top tier of the UEFA Nations League.
And Scotland boss Clarke has indicated he may field Robertson depending on the latest assessment of the player.
“Andy was probably a little bit worse than the rest, which is why I left him out," said the former Liverpool assistant manager.
"It would have been too big a risk.
"But he’s coming to Israel so we’ll assess him over there and hopefully get him on the pitch.
"That would be good as we’d like our captain on the pitch.”
Liverpool can ill afford another injury in defence with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez absent for the long term and Trent Alexander-Arnold also missing from next Sunday's Premier League visit of leaders Leicester City.
